SNAP’s MISSION:
- SELF HELP: to reach out to as many survivors of sexual abuse
by priests as possible to share resources and information. Survivors often
find empowerment and healing knowing that they are not alone and not to be
blamed for the abuse.
- EDUCATION: to prevent further abuse through public education
and advocacy
- SUPPORT GROUPS: SNAP chapter in various cities across the United
State and Canada hold support groups for victims of clergy sexual abuse.

There are currently SNAP support meetings in various cities in California
(San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Long Beach, San Diego, Glendale

post SNAP support group information in all parish bulletins.
- Demand your legislators write or support new laws
to make the prosecution of child molesters easier.
- If you’ve been victimized, please know that you
are not alone and not to be blamed for the abuse. Call the San Diego Police
Department @ (619) 531-2000.
- Support full disclosure, transparency, and accountability
in any abuse case to promote Church reform and the protection of children.
